What does 'momme' mean?
Momme, pronounced “mom-ee”, is the traditional weight measurement used for silk. It refers to the density and weight of the silk fabric. In general, the higher the momme, the thicker, more durable and more luxurious the silk feels.
Dermify uses 22-momme silk, which is considered a premium weight for silk sleep and beauty products. It offers a beautiful balance of softness, durability and drape, making it ideal for pillowcases, eye masks, bonnets and other pieces designed for nightly use.
How is mulberry silk different from regular silk?
Not all silk is the same. Mulberry silk is one of the highest quality forms of silk. It is made from the fibres produced by silkworms that are fed mulberry leaves, resulting in a smoother, finer and more consistent silk fibre.
Does mulberry silk prevent hair breakage?
The naturally smooth surface of mulberry silk helps reduce friction against the hair, which may lessen tension, pulling and stress on the strands. This can help minimise breakage, tangling and frizz, especially for delicate, dry or damage-prone hair.
Does mulberry silk help to prevent wrinkles?
The smooth surface of mulberry silk reduces friction, which may help to reduce the formation of sleep creases overnight.
What is silver ion technology & is it safe?
Silver ion technology is a textile innovation designed to help keep fabric fresher for longer. Silver ions are commonly used in textiles for their ability to inhibit the growth of odour- and acne-causing bacteria on the fabric surface.
Our silver ion silk is designed for everyday use against the skin. As with any fabric or textile finish, individual sensitivities can vary. If you have highly reactive skin, severe allergies or specific sensitivities, we recommend patch testing first and discontinuing use if irritation occurs.
What are the certifications that Dermify silk has?
Our mulberry silk is both GOTS-certified and OEKO-TEX-certified, reflecting Dermify’s commitment to considered materials.
GOTS-certified means the textile meets the Global Organic Textile Standard, a leading certification for organic fibres. It considers both environmental and social criteria across the textile supply chain, from fibre production through to processing and manufacturing.
OEKO-TEX-certified means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances, including formaldehyde, toxic heavy metals, banned dyes, pesticide residues and other potentially irritating textile chemicals, and meets strict safety standards for textiles.

What is your return policy?
At Dermify, we want you to feel considered and confident in every purchase.
We offer easy Refunds for eligible change-of-mind returns within 14 days of receiving your order, and Store Credits within 21 days of receiving your order.
To lodge a return, please contact us. All returns must be pre-approved by us in writing before being sent back, and must be lodged at the post office within the relevant return window.
To be eligible for return, your item must meet the following conditions:
- The item is unused, unwashed and unopened
- The item is in its original condition and original packaging
- All tags, seals and packaging must remain intact
- The item must be free from marks, stains, fragrance, makeup or signs of use
- Proof of purchase must be provided
- The return must be approved by Dermify before being sent back
For hygiene reasons, our products cannot be returned once opened or used, unless faulty or otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law.
Dermify reserves the right to reject returns that are lodged outside the return window, returned without prior written approval, or do not meet the conditions above.
Do you offer refunds?

Can I make changes to my order?
As we begin preparing your order as quickly as possible, we are unable to make changes once an order has been placed.
Can I cancel my order?
We understand that plans may change. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it.
As we begin preparing orders quickly, there is only a short window in which a cancellation may be possible. If your order has already been processed, packed or dispatched, we will be unable to cancel it and it will continue to be shipped as planned.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer complimentary shipping to most locations on eligible orders over the minimum spend. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further details.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. We offer express shipping within Australia, with delivery typically arriving within 1 to 3 business days.
Where do you deliver to?
At this stage, Dermify ships within Australia only. We are working to expand our delivery options and hope to offer international shipping in the near future.
How fast is delivery?
Dermify offers two delivery options within Australia.
Standard shipping typically arrives within 2 to 8 business days, while express shipping typically arrives within 1 to 3 business days.
Please allow 1 to 2 business days for your order to be processed before dispatch. During peak periods, processing times may take slightly longer.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number and a link to follow your delivery. This allows you to stay updated as your Dermify pieces make their way to you.
Do you use environmentally friendly mailers?
Yes. At Dermify, we strive to make more considered choices across every part of our brand, including our packaging.
Wherever possible, we use biodegradable 'Hero Packaging' mailers to help reduce the environmental impact of each order. When biodegradable mailers are not suitable, we use recycled mailers or cardboard packaging where appropriate.
Our aim is to keep every order beautifully protected while choosing packaging options that are more thoughtful, responsible and lower impact.
